Timeline: 2020
Overview
Koehler Paper Group has been working on the launch of their new product and business unit FlexTech - a new material and process for packaging.
For its launch they would like to present the facts through the use of a modern and engaging iPad app, where sales representatives present prospect clients at the fair end of September 2019.
Goal
The goal of the project is the design & development of an iPad app for Koehler, that enables their sales representatives at the upcoming fair to present this new material/process via facts, benefits and technical information to prospects. After the consultation the representative should have the ability to send feedback to a central target.
Approach
FLUID will start by understanding the existing materials and information strategy and suggest a quick win solution to create an engaging UI experience for the iPad app used at the upcoming fair. This will then be implemented as a native iOS app and distributed to the devices. The short, given timeline for this first release will require this targeted approach. Further future releases will allow further functionalities such as a CMS and further features.
Setup -
Full Service Digital Product Development
FLUID will closely work together with our longtime strategic software development partner Kawunu GmbH, they will take work on the software engineering and implementation - their special expertise is in mobile, front-end and platform development.
Part Two
We have been supporting Koehler Group through their partner KPMG on the iPad app for the launch of their new product and business unit FlexTech. This new and engaging app was developed together in Q3 2019 for a trade fair end of Sept. The app allows sales representatives to present prospect clients the new technology and its advantages. After its successful use and a joint feedback, summary and strategy workshop this January we are planning the next evolution and extension of the application.
Goal
The goal of the work-packages described in this proposal is to further design & develop the next step of the iPad app based on the findings of the last strategy workshop. For this we will use an agile design & development method where we make sure to work on all the prioritised functionalities until the next trade fair.
Challenge
FLUID and their development partner Kawunu will start with the workshop topics & findings and suggest and implement refinements for the engaging app UI and UX used at the upcoming fair. This will then be implemented as a native iOS app and distributed to the devices.
APPROACH
Our approach is to work closely with the KPMG team in order to be able to align ourselves well with the existing status and strategies. For an approach, we would suggest the following based on the defined work packages:
Phase 1: Concept, Design & Development
Phase 2: Requirements engineering
Phase 3: Testing
> Regular testing of the app during development (at the latest after every sprint, but usually when the app is finished)
> Creation of release notes at the end of the project
Phase 4: Deployment & Provisioning
> The app is provisioned as a beta app in Testflight and any number of accounts (i.e. AppleIDs) is added (technical limit of Testflight: 10000 users). The app can only be installed for the accounts that have been entered
> Delivery of the app to the store at the latest after each sprint (2 weeks or less)
> The App Store Account is set up and configured by us and handed over to the client at the end of the project
> Handover in the form of a demonstration / presentation in Munich, KPMG we will pass this on to Koehler and instruct / train the relevant sales people.
